To get rid of your bloated stomach, the secret is in your diet! This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to many of you, but a good and healthy diet which is balanced and nutritious helps you to optimise your weight. However, we will throw in a surprise for you, and that is that you should a certain amount of fat into your diet.
What is fat?
Fats and oils are made up of molecules of fatty acids, and these can be either saturated or unsaturated. There are certain fatty acids which are essential, including omega-3 and omega-6, meaning that they must be consumed through your diet, as there is no other way that they can get into your body. Here is some advice which will help you to reduce your bloated stomach, including the foods that you should consume as well.
Why is it so important?
Fat is a valuable energy source, and the membrane of every human cell is formed from a phospholipid bilayer, and this fat consumption is reflected in our body cells. Fat also enables the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins, A, D, E & K. There are certain fats, which are essential and cannot be synthesised in the body, which, as already mentioned have to be consumed through eating foods.
What are the foods I should eat?
You need to eat more fish (check the ingredients) to include vitamins in your diet, and depending upon likes, dislikes, allergies and intolerances (which you can test for here): you need to decide between salmon, mackerel, sardines, tuna and kippers. If you’ve never tried these foods and want to add something new, then you should consider cold-pressed oils to add vitamins to your diet. If you are looking to completely start a new diet, then look no further than nuts, nut butter and seeds. Something that many dieticians recommend is avocado, so try and fit this into your diet. This shouldn’t be too hard as it goes in almost anything!
